The face of hip hop has been shaped and molded by many artists. Hip hop began as any other type of music that people did not pay much attention to until the seventies and eighties, when new ideas ran rampant and people became increasingly open to new ideas.

In the 1990s, hip hop became one of the many types of music listened to by millions of people every day. Who rose through the ranks quickly, not only because the music was good, but because hip hop artists like Snoop Dogg promoted and made it something that people around the world would appreciate.

Snoop Dogg, born October 20, 1971, Cordozar Calvin Broadus. Born in Long Beach, California, the second of three children born to his parents. When Snoop Dogg was little, his friends call him Snoopy because it resembled the famous character of Charlie Brown with the same name.

His father was a singer and a postman who was never around more than Snoop Dogg's life. At a very early age, he began singing and playing the organ at her church, where he learned to love music. Soon after he started singing, he started rapping and making your own rhythms.

Snoop never had the life of a normal child. He was a convicted felon and a lot of many things before he even graduated from high school. He worked six months after being convicted of cocaine trafficking and spent several of his high school years behind bars for allegedly being a member of the Crips.
