Usually I-485 processing time is 6-9 months. If your PD is current and filed before March 26 2009, you can call and find out your petition status.
I-485, EB visa processing time for TSC is showing as Mar 26 2009. is it going to be true or typo?

I was in some what similar situation but my H1 transfer was not approved to the new company and my attorney suggested moving back to the previous employer.
I guess it is possible but if your H1 transfer was approved then you might have to apply for another transfer.
I worked with company A for 6 months and then transferred H1B to new company B with whom I worked for 1.5 years. Meanwhile company A did not cancel my H1B and now when I am thinking of joining company A. Can we use older H1B petition. Is it ok to use older H1B petition or should we cancel older H1B on file and file new H1B transfer?

You can also extend the H1b...if your labor is filed 365 days prior to your H1b expiraton...
You are looking atleast 21 months into future...there are so many things that can happen...
140 rejection may not be an issue... but in case your worst fear comes true...you will be alright if it's rejected before feb 2008.
Even then there are other ways around this problem...

You can be a passive partner (investor) in any startup (even without any visa). To be an active partner, you need to be a permanent resident or citizen in US. Here is a link for the details... You can re-file a denied I-140. In my case, first I-140 was denied in 2006 but never received the denial notice, so time for appeal lapsed. However, during 2007 July, we concurrently filed using the same labor. The second I-140 was approved in 2009. Both the I-140s were processed by Nebraska Service Center.
Hence, based on my experience, you can refile but you should be able to over come or at least have strong enough reasons to over come the cause of initial denial.
I am not sure on how to deal with with-drawl of your existing appeal and 485 petitions.
As far as 180 day rule of labor is concerned, my understanding is that, based on USCIS clarification, it only applies to initial filing of I-140 petition but not for re-filing as long as the original I-140 was filed with in permitted time. You can go through websites of Murthy / Rajiv Khanna for authentic information on this.

I understand there will be stress headache etc... I just wanted to see if the cost of appealing a wrongly rejected 485 was something a H1b employee can afford.
BTW on lighter note:
For headache I use zandu balm
and for stress I do Yoga.
These dont cost as much as docs/lawyers in this country!!

There is a small but noticeable difference in quality going from 6MP to 10MP. Since I went from 2.7MP to 10MP, I haven't experienced this first hand, but I'm told that the extra 4MP generally allow you to print about one size larger than you felt comfortable with before (hence, if you only accepted 11x14's from 6MP images, then with the 10MP photos you'll probably be happy with 16x20's).

My H1B Extn is pending at VSC since Nov 2008 and have same issue from day one. Looks like, some issues for some service centre applications via online.

Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place, wasn't exactly sure where to post.
I applied for my Certifcate of Citizenship through my US citizen father about 5 years ago, and due to that US citizen father being an ass I still don't have it.
I have decided to just go back to England. I am happy about going back now and this post isn't about finding other ways of getting my citizenship.
When I originally came to the US I intended just to visit so I came on the Visa Waiver Program, and then decided to stay and become a citizen
My query is: When I leave to go back home will I be able to leave the US with just my passport(recently renewed) and ticket? or will I have to contact the USCIS and get some kind of letter or the like?

You do not need any agency's permission to leave US. Just submit the I-94 form if you have one.

Any suggestion on how we can approch sending the approved LCA later and ask USCIS to match it to the already submitted H1B petition?
I dont see a problem if you have I 485 Pending ( i assume you have EAD to continue working )
I filed my H1B 3 months later after joining a new job on EAD , i didnt have any problem

Yeah many people got the I-140 update who files in July. What was your PD on LC Sub? If you pD was too old then you would have got your GC by now.
