Why is everyone getting so down on the trailer? It's a fun little video made by people who have a great online community. It's not supposed to be serious or serve an immediate function(other than creating some hype). Is that really so wrong? I mean it's one thing if you just don't think the trailer was done well, but why put down some people having fun? And I'm sure those who are bitching that it was pointless are the same people who like to watch 10 minute long movie trailers that give away the whole plot.
I think if they had just called it a "teaser" there would be little to no argument.

Sherway Gardens usually has less people lined up since it is not very easy to get their by TTC. Well it had less people during the iPhone 4 launch compared to some of the other malls.

Official Apple anything is expensive.
Never buy memory/HDD upgrades etc. from Apple, that logo on the box will add about 75% to the real price.

Didn't see this posted yet, I would hate to be on the Comair plane as it gets whipped around. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the collision of an Airbus A-380 and a smaller plane at John F. Kennedy International Airport.
Air France Flight 7, bound for Paris, was taxiing on a runway Monday night when its left wingtip struck the tail of Comair Flight 6293, which had just landed from Boston and was taxiing to its gate at Kennedy, one of the nation's busiest airports.
There were no injuries.
Both planes were being inspected Tuesday. Pilots and crew will also be interviewed.
Passenger Lawrence Grotts was on board the Air France plane.
"It really felt just like a speedbump or like hitting a pothole -- a jolt -- but it didn't feel right ... like that shouldn't be happening," he said.
The NTSB said it has requested the flight recorders and will review air traffic control tapes and what is known as ground radar data.
The double-deck Airbus A-380 had 495 passengers and 25 crew members on board, Air France said in a statement. The Comair CRJ 700 Regional Jet had 62 passengers and four crew members.
"This incident only caused material damage to the two aircraft," Air France said. The airline said it is assisting the NTSB.
Maxine Lubner, chair of the aviation department at Vaughn College, said communication could have been a problem.
"When the plane, the A-380, was on the taxiway, Alpha, it's under FAA control," she said. "The regional jet may have already been switched to the company's frequency."
Lubner said the Air France pilots should have been able to see the smaller aircraft.

The Zalman has a back that fully encloses the fans. From the pics, the CoolerMaster does not. My experience with another design that did not enclose the fans was that the wiring eventually got snagged on something and the fans no longer received power as a result.
I think you'd be pleased with the Zalman's build quality. I know I am.

If it is a software problem (which I also suspect), it should be possible to make it disappear by installing linux and tweeking the video settings. It may also be a firmware issue, and it won't be fixed until Apple address the problem.
So, has anyone tried the new PB with Linux??
Personally I don't see it as a problem. I have to get as close as 15cm from the screen to actually see the effect. I know that would give me a headache, lines or not :)

It's a good guess. I was a happy NNW user, but despite having paid for the software, I still switched to Google Reader about a year ago. I tried out the new version of NNW, but there are really no features compelling enough to get me to switch back. Now if they come out with native iPhone version I might change my mind (I'm still not thrilled with Reader's Phone interface).
Exactly my thoughts... they can win me back if they develop a native iPhone client that works the way I'd like it to. Until then, I'll stick with Google Reader (which I switched to from NNW shortly after the iPhone's release).

What are some good Go clients/servers?
I play Go on occasion. Here's what I've played on/heard of:
Goban - A nice little native Mac program that you can play against GnuGo with, or analyze SDF files with. It might also work with some online servers.
DragonGoServer.net - You can play correspondence games online here, no client required other than a web browser. Some people even play fast games on it. This is what I played on when I played regularly. I haven't been active on there for a year or so, though.
Kiseido Go Server (http://www.gokgs.com/) - I played on here once or twice, but they had a java client back then. Looks like they have a downloadable client on their web page.
Actually, I'll just link you to the Sensei's Library wiki. They have -all- sorts of resources for the Go junkie. http://senseis.xmp.net/ In particular, you can check out their entry on Go Servers: http://senseis.xmp.net/?GoServers
Have fun and good luck! :)

It takes 578mhz to do one w/u a day. Therefore that would mean an 867mhz would do 1.5 a day (accurate, thats what my PB does) and a 266mhz would do one every 2.1 days, also accurate. Someone compare my equation to their computer. All you do is take your CPU speed and divide it by 578. It *should* give you roughly the w/u you complete in one day.
First off, every work unit is different. Second did you take into account that if SETI runs in Blank screen mode it runs WUs faster? Of course not. I run a B/W G3/300 in blank screen mode and can complete a WU in 20-22 hrs. I have stated before that in Blank screen mode WUs can be crunched much faster than screensaver mode. I figure my WU times by looking at the percentage of WU completion per hour. 300MHz = roughly 5% per hour. 450/466 MHz = roughly 7.5% per hour. 1.25GHz = 16% per hour. Take your 100 and divide by the average completion per hour---100/7.5=13.33hrs.

Seems like a pretty good choice. I didn't realize anything was beating the Vertexes, although it's been about a year since I went shopping. (The IBM's were always a little faster, but a lot more dollars as well.)

I have Logic 8 Express, but am hoping to upgrade to 9 Studio whilst still at university (lovely discount :D ). On the interface front, I would not buy through the apple store as very expensive. Try somewhere like dolphin music (www.dolphinmusic.co.uk) or Guitar, Amp and Keyboard Centre (www.gak.co.uk). These are both reputable music stores.
Just for comparison - the M-Audio Fast Track Pro USB

I haven't really used the interfaces myself to give a good opinion. I have an Fast Track USB which is the most basic and cheap available and its been ok. Guess more expense should mean better quality!
Oh and if you meant the midi keyboards then again just shop around and see. I want an M-Audio Oxygen 61 when get the money....

Ok, so I ended up taking the plunge and buying a Peel 520, My iPod is working perfectly as a phone, however there is one very annoying bug which I wonder if anyone has had a reasonable work around for. Now being able to change volume when your headphones are plugged in is a known bug but I was wondering if anyone had found a fix for it other then drilling a hole in the case.

Two notes for you:
1) Why have you not told us what your device is? At least the class of device? This could at least get us to the point of knowing if we should expect the OS to have a generic HID divice driver for this class of device. If there is no generic class driver, then: yes, absolutely you will need to create a device driver (and no, it is not going to be easy).
Unless you ask good questions, you should expect nothing but bad answers.
2) This is not the sort of forum where you should expect to find people who can write drivers. This is a user-level forum. If you need help writing device drivers, then your best bet (short of paying someone who knows how to write device drivers on the Mac) is going to be on Apple's Darwin-drivers list (http://lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/darwin-drivers).
Your speaking make sense to me. Actually I don't know how to ask question properly to resolve my issue because I'm new to communicate with usb device.
The following is the info capturing through USB Probe:
