I think they are probing link of your Civil Engineering and Computer Analyst job. They are looking for specific computer oriented language courses that show you have formal education in that and that should corraborate your work experience letters. Its well known that getting EB2 for computer analyst etc oriented jobs is getting difficult. They are now questioning more and more as to why analyst oriented jobs should require Masters and #2 they are looking for links between Civil Engineering education and Computer oriented job that you are trying for.!!!

Other than a MBA or MS, what else could be a better qualification for Analysts / Business Analysts??? Why shld they question the need for Masters? I was of the opinion that for a Business Analyst type profile, MBA would be apt / required to perform the duties.... your thoughts?

1) Allowing filing of EAD only 120 days before its expiry when the processing times by itself is >120 days
2) Issuing a FAQ on interim EAD in 2008 when the process itself was eliminated in 2006.
3) Issuing separate biometrics notices for EAD and I-485 for the same beneficiary.
4) Allowing the beneficiary to work on H1 receipt notice but not on EAD receipt notice.
5) Running multiple background checks for the same beneficiary for different immigration benefits (I-140, EAD, AP, I-485)
6) Issuing RFE for EAD biometrics even after completing biometrics.
7) Issuing RFE for EAD biometrics without issuing biometrics notice.
8) Issuing EAD/AP’s with incorrect name, sex, DOB, photograph and validity dates thereby preventing the beneficiary from working/traveling without any alternative until the correction is made.

Yes she not current visa status :-( Thats why I am worried about her travel plan.
If that is the case she should NOT travel without advanced parole in hand. If she chooses to do so she has NO valid immigration status on which to re enter the United States and will have abandoned her adjustment of status application.
If she needs to travel for urgent family medical reasons if you can obtain medical notes etc you can go to your local office on an infopass appointment and try to expedite the process.

I dont understand any of the EB3 not moving it is the beginning of the fiscal year, they should be moving forward not be stuck....

Your wife can't change her status because she is not currently maintaining status if the H-1B was approved as a change of status. CIS will only approve a change of status with proof that the applicant has maintained status. She needs to leave the US and return in H-4 status to effect H-4 status. She has been out of status since October 2008.

People who filed I-485 after the July fiasco (starting with the August 2007 bulletin) paid a higher initial fee ($1010) - but they don't have to pay any EAD & AP fee - either the first time or for any renewals.
Look at the "Special instructions" sections of the following URL:

so those that didn't pay the new fees when they filed 485 but paid the new fees for renewal of EAD and AP what happens to them? do they also get free renewals?

Some are just too stiff to others because the July 19th filer is asking for getting checks cashed and therefore some July 2 filers are pissed off because theirs are not yet cashed....Dude, let's face reality with USCIS...some people are really lucky to overtake others....

IMO conventional is always better unless you are buying a condo. Few people stick with their loan long enough to recoup the cost of the initial mortgage insurance.

I doubt we can threaten to get sanctions passed on Exceed .. i dont think we have the political clout for that. All we can do for now is plead, reason and educate senators of the unfair treatment we get from the broken immigration system. If our membership keeps growing to a point where we represent most of the affected legal immigrants at the mercy of USCIS (close to half a million), then its a different story, not to mention if we had the numbers and political clout of the illegals. Just my opinion.

It appears to me that we should file all I-485 applications in July. Even if the advantage is illusory or marginal, it may be a good idea to file. If your application is ready to go, it should be filed. Regards. Rajiv.

As far as I know, one is only required to file taxes on foreign accounts if they have $10000 or more in their accounts at any time during the financial year. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also, check: Report of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts (FBAR) (http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=148849,00.html)

I moved last week but told my roommate to accept this mail that I was expecting from Immigration.
I guess she removed my name from the mail box.
Today I went online to check the status on my EAD and the status says the card we returned as undelivered and they asked me to call customer service to update address.
I'm planning to go online and get my address changed .
Should I also call them to inform about the address change?
Is there any other way I can get my EAD card rather than wait till I update my address?
Can I change my address over the weekend? If I have to call them after changing the address online will the customer service be available over the weekend ?
