We got back to USA on 1/7.
POE: Dallas (DFW)
We gave IO only passport and AP, got new I-94 in only 5 mins.
Questions asked by IO:
1. How long were away from USA?
2.How was weather in India ? ;)
Overall the experience with using AP was good.

I don't have access to cover letter and in the other document which "Application for Alien Employment Ceritification" belong to US Dept of Labor, i'm seeing "dates forms received, Ind Code,occ code, Occ title"....in the BOTTOM RIGHT corner ....
Is this the place you are referring to?

Not able to file I-140, spouse not able to work, life on hold.
Company going to file PERM in 2 months time.
Currently on H1b 6th Year and will be on 7th year in 2 weeks time
7th Year extension already received based on LC filed with priority date of
March 05
Sick and tired of current employer,Can he move to a new employer?
New employer is willing to file PERM, Is it possible for trasfer the H1B to new company ? What is the current employer revoke the LC before the PERM is processed? Will he lose status? Is there any guidelines on moving to new employer while on 7th year extension with No end in sight for GC process?
Anyone in similiar situation? Please help

H1B and Employment based GC is for people in speciality fields and for the shortage of US workers for the jobs.
It is not possible for any jobs on commission basis. PERIOD.
You can work on OPT.

Yes! I have my H1-B Case Filing Receipt Notice with EAC number.
I see the same message (as you posted) when I tried to see the status first time around Mid Nov. I thought it may take few days or a week to appear online (based on the past). But, same message till now!!
Something is not linked right and may be due to some upgrade USCIS were doing in last few months. Not Sure!!!

Sounds like a good idea...for those of us who missed the summer 2007 bus, this may be the only way of getting to an EAD status in the near future, going by the recent Visa bulletins and retrogression of EB2 & non-availability of EB3 year-round.

The desperation of your post suggests that you don't need direction, you need therapy. We just need someone to give us some assurance that we will all be fine and live to see the light of the day on Tuesday even if DoS sends out a revised Visa Bulletin. At this time, I too need similar assurance from someone. Can anybody help?

Thanks desi - AOS is what I was thinking as well but that doesn't seem to be one of the options listed when opening an account (the firm is Ameritrade - you check out their website https://wwwna.tdameritrade.com/cgi-bin/apps/IraApServlet). Guess they are just not aware of this status since it wasn't really designed to be a "status" and only recently have several people moved to AOS status given the backup for EB3 and EB2 China/ India
AOS is not a visa status. So, for https://wwwna.tdameritrade.com/cgi-bin/apps/IraApServlet one should select None for the visa status as the person is not maintaining any non-immigrant visa status.
AOS is period of authorized stay while I-485 application is pending.

My PD is June 2005 and I-140 approved on July 2006. I am thinking of
changing my job. I am puzzling about the following questions:
1. Can I change the job and use my 3 year extension for the next job?
2. Can I keep my PD of June 2005 if my current employer doesn't revoke
my I-140 ?
3. If I apply for GC again with new employer and get my I-140 approved , can
